Cornbread is one of the most favored of current trending foods on earth. It is easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. It’s appreciated by millions daily. Cornbread is something that I have loved my whole life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.

To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have cornbread using 10 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Cornbread:
  1. Get 1 cup cornmeal
  2. Make ready 1 cup flour
  3. Take 1 tsp baking powder
  4. Prepare 1 tsp baking soda
  5. Make ready 1/8 tsp salt
  6. Prepare 1/2 c melted unsalted butter (I used plant based)
  7. Get 1/3 cup brown sugar
  8. Take 2 tbs honey
  9. Make ready 1 egg (room temp)
  10. Take 1 cup buttermilk (room temperature)
Instructions to make Cornbread:
  1. Preheat oven to 400. Grease/lightly flour a square pan (8x8 or 9x9). Add cornmeal, flour, baking soda & paking powder into a large mixing bowl. Toss ingredients.
  2. Mix together melted butter, brown sugar & honey. Whisk then whisk egg. Then whisk in buttermilk. Pour wet into dry ingredients & whisk. Do not over mix.
  3. Pour batter into pan. Let bake 20 minutes. Once done, wrap leftovers in aluminum foil.
