The ingredients needed to make Shakshuka:
  1. Prepare 3 eggs
  2. Make ready 3 tomatoes puree
  3. Make ready 1 big onion chopped finely
  4. Make ready 2 tbsp garlic chopped
  5. Prepare 1 tsp ground cumin seeds
  6. Prepare 1 tsp paprika
  7. Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. Make ready 1/2 tsp freshly crushed peoper
  9. Make ready 2 tbsp olive oil
  10. Make ready 2 tbsp chopped cilantro/coriander leaves
  11. Get to taste Salt
  12. Make ready 1/2 tsp sugar
  13. Get 1 red bell pepper chopped
  14. Prepare 1 green bell pepper chopped
  15. Make ready 2 green chillies chopped
  16. Prepare as needed water
Instructions to make Shakshuka:
  1. I have used non-stick pan..keep a large pan on a medium flame add 2tbsp of olive oil, heat up add chopped onions, and chopped bell peppers including garlic, saute it for 3-4 minutes
  2. When it becomes little soft and translucent add in tomato puree,to this add red chilli powder, salt, sugar, paprika, ground cumin powder, give it a good mix, saute for two minutes, add 1/4 water and let it cook on low flame closing the lid of the pan, I cooked it for approx 10-15 minutes
  3. Now take out the lid, use your large spoon to make small wells in the sauce and crack the eggs in to each well, cover the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame or until the eggs are done to your liking, take out from the flame sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and some freshly crushed pepper..your shakshuka is ready to serve..
